Greetings once again.  I really wish I made more time to devote to this site - ahhhh summer will be here soon enough!

Well Saturday I am attending a fund raiser for a drummer in our community who has been diagnosed with lung cancer!  So I decided to make him and his wife (who dances) a wood burning and also create one to donate in case anyone wanted to buy it in the silent auction. :)  I found the most lovely poem written by Shira and immediately sent her an e-mail requesting permission to burn her words onto wood.  Being the wonderful woman she is, she granted her permission to use her work! :)  So if y'all live in the DFW area please come and show your support.  click the link above for more information about the location and time!!  Bring your wallets!

Both works are absolutely lovely - I will post pictures just as soon as they are complete! 

One thing that I absolutely ADORE about the Middle Eastern Dance community here in DFW is the ability for all those involved to put aside personal differences and leave the 'junk' at the door.  When a group of these young ladies and gentlemen get together to celebrate dance it is all about the music.  Even baby dancers like myself are welcomed with open arms and the occassional Zaghareet!

Life is good with God and dance and community!
